Sharron B. will be doing a repeat of the Take A Stitch Tuesday (TAST) in 2012, and I shall be posting my attempts at the embroidery stitches here on this page.
Originally, I was going to use the stitches on my crazy quilt projects ...doing two things at once...but, I have decided otherwise. Oh, I still will probably use at least some of the stitches on the projects...I mean, otherwise why even bother to learn them! But, every stitch will become part of a sample book and I'll stitch all of them on even-weave fabric to make sure that they are correct...and that I can really see the "correct" way of stitching them before I try to replicate them on to other types of cloth. I have some 28-ct linen that I'm going to use for this purpose. Links to MY POSTS about these linen samples...and links to Sharon's original posts INSTRUCTIONS on HOW TO create the stitches will be what I include here on this TAST Page.
Week 1 - Fly Stitch (Photos and Instructions)
Week 2 - Buttonhole Stitch (Photos and Instructions)
Week 3 - Feather Stitch (Photos and Instructions)
Week 4 -
