Classes for 2022

I've thought long and hard about classes for this next year...and am going to make some pretty drastic changes.

My life is so crazy...and I'm sure you all know how that feels. So, I've decided to re-focus on some things and try to get back to some basics. What that means for classes is that I'm going to try a more "free-style" approach to the classes.

I'm putting you in the drivers seat! There will be no class registrations and no "time line" for any of the Basic and Intermediate courses in 2022.

You can download any course, any time...and work at your own speed.

I'm going to upload all of the course content to Google Drive so I can provide pages here on the blog with download links...but my goal is to have everything done and running smoothly for the launch on 15 January!

Wish me luck!

I'll still be here to answer questions if you have them...but over the years; I've learned that the course content is really so detailed that very few folks actually have real questions about the content. Mostly, you seem to really just need inspiration to keep going.

So, for inspiration...I'll also be starting a new Shawkl Facebook Course Page that will be a private group so it can be monitored. Everyone joining can post whatever photos you would like (class related of course) and get plenty of feedback. We want positive and helpful all mean folks will be asked to move that attitude helps no one. So, this is similiar to the registration I suppose; just you only have to do it one time rather than for every single course.

Hope you have a great Christmas and New Years...see you again on the 15th!

I'm thrilled to hear about the changes to the classes. Inspiration is exactly what I need to keep going. It makes things so much easier for me. Thank you!

That sounds like a great plan. It will make things easier for you, but also for the students who can work at their own pace without deadlines.

That is lovely news, I hope that means you will find a good balance of your interests.
I am a returning student hoping to finish my basic crazy quilt course. I only have the embellishments to add.

The changes sound great. I was thinking of retaking the beginners course again so this is very timely to get me back into CQ. I need inspiration :)

So happy your classes are continuing. I really enjoyed the basic crazy quilt class, and have just a few hours work and it will be done.

I've just discovered you Kathy and your art/work through Mary Corbet who recommended your Crazy Stitch Seams book.
I purchased your book and am delighted you have a
web site, self-paced classes coming, etc.
Thank you. Keep creating!

Happy New Year Kathy. I am really looking forward to your new course page. I am currently trying to make a crazy quilt bag; it is so much harder to come up with a design that works for each block as well as work overall myself. I am also trying to make it personal as a gift to a friend. All blocks are inspiration from your lessons, so more inspiration from you will be great. Thank you for continuing to educate and help us all.

Happy new year! I’m looking forward to learning more from your classes. I am excited to take them in their new course method, too! I know you’re just an email away if any questions. I think it will help you and all of us.
